Skilled Worker Visa

A path to a prosperous career in the UK—live, work, and raise a family in one of the world’s strongest economies.

Understanding Skilled Worker Visa

The Skilled Worker Visa serves as the main pathway for individuals from abroad to reside and engage in employment within the UK. It enables talented professionals to secure positions in industries experiencing workforce gaps, including healthcare, IT, engineering, finance, and education. This visa takes the place of the Tier 2 (General) work visa and provides a straightforward route to permanent residency (Indefinite Leave to Remain) in the UK. The visa remains valid for a maximum of five years, and upon fulfilling five years of uninterrupted residence, individuals can submit an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), which provides them with permanent residency in the UK. Individuals holding a Skilled Worker Visa are permitted to have their dependents, such as spouses and children, join them in the UK.
